reptangle makers!

I made this out of reptangles and this is a truncated tetrahedron. It was very hard to make. These reptangles can stick together, and they also have a little note which are the directions which tell you how to make this shape, like a ball.

frog sink

I'm pouring in gooey cornstarch, when you mix it with water, it becomes a gooey liquid! I put a frog in it, and the cornstarch pulled it in like quicksand. We trudged our hands into it and we pulled out the cornstarch and it stuck to our hands, and it started to goo off towards the other cornstarches. We mixed fast and it was harder, and we mixed slow and it was easier to mix because it is almost like a liquid and a solid at the same time.

FALL

These are every single different leaf I found in my yard. I'm holding them down (for when wind blows) by rocks. Dad is digging over there. He's ripping up netting and old grass. He's going to plant new grass, but before that we are putting out clover seed, for real. Clover gives the dirt energy, its a cover crop.

I'm dressing up as a squirrel right now! Try to find my ears! I dressed up because it was Crazy Squirrel Day, and I wanted to dress up to be cool. The squirrel is my mascot at school, kindergarten!

The ears are way easier to find here. I didn't go on the monkey bars that day, because my squirrel tail was giving me too much heaviness! I got so much attention by this tail. Principal Warren went CRAZY.

ROBOT

I got a cardboard box and I can't tell you all the things, but I attached them all on, then I put antennae on. We put his bone out of his arm, then we stuck cups onto it. He even has a skeleton! We make him move by grabbing on to the feet as you can see, and turn them like you are driving, and his hoop at the top turns, and the arms turn too!

I named him: Mechanical.

Best bat face, and I'm under a trolls finger!

This is me doing my best bat face with bat wings on. I'm at the Seattle Zoo, inside a store. I put this on so my mom would know how to make a bat suit for me for Halloween.

Next, a troll is pretending to smash me. It's under a bridge right now. Try to find the silver glass eye! Try to find something really hard to find: his belly button! It's really hard to see. I'm doing guessing games.

birthday cake sprinkle solution

This solution is called rainbow sprinkles. If you look closely, you might see some green where the rainbow fell to the bottom. To me, that ME looking through the glass actually is ME because the eyes look not nice, pointier. Because the glass is bent, it bends the light and that's why I look sort of not nice! And there is a heart suspended in midair because this is salt water! And we read about an experiment that an egg floats more the more salt you put in, so I put salt in hot water, so that's why it is floating high up.

Ok, this picture is the same solution with the sprinkles in it, but Isaac just dumped MORE sprinkles in it, and they filled up with water and now they REALLY look like they are hanging in midair.

Now, I'm going to dump it out in the sink and see what it will look like. Ok, I did it. It smelled yummy, and looked like when I traced chalk with all the little pieces, but it was pink and purple.

zoo animals

Mom took me on  special walk to the zoo.

The otters are eating. In that group of river otters, there are baby river otters!
This is a baby Komodo dragon. When they are born, they are 14 inches! There were two of them.
I like them because they can dig, and they have long tongues. You might see in the picture some floppy skin. I don't know why they have that, but some desert creatures like the komodo dragons have floppy skin. Just in case Granddaddy sees this: Granddaddy, this is not a real Komodo dragon. It's just a statue. This is how you can see that I'm telling the truth that they have long tongues. They have a tail too.
The lion cubs are very big now - they are chewing on bones in this picture. The mom is the one is the one who is pointing its back to us. Actually, the mom is the one you can see the tail of. Done.
This is Dad dressed up in as much stuff as we could find in our dress-up bin that fits Dad. Try to find the pig nose on Dad. It's funny, he looks like an animal!

Jellyfish!

I'm putting in some water colors, as you can see. To me, it looks like a jellyfish. After that, the whole thing just settled and turned all the way blue. Once I put some pepper in and stirred it, it was blue with pepper at the top.
We mixed two colors together, I forgot which, but it turned orange!
The yellow one is a water color too.Isaac has two green ones and I have the others. We like to let light shine through.

we found a wolf spider on the ceiling

Know what? Know how we got it into an observation station? Dad got up on an ottoman, stood on it, and got the spider from off the ceiling. Then we looked at it for a long time, then Mom took a picture of it. You might need to look closely at the picture to see the little hairs on the spider. You might see the jaws on the spider - that was REALLY cool. I love spiders, especially their webs. Then we let it free.

hike on bainbridge

You might see the teeny tiny bumps on the back of it, because i'm showing the back. It's actually a fern. Did you know those bumps have pollen on them?
Guess what? Did you see the prickles? They are actually not prickles. Guess what, they are, for real, little things that are looking like prickles but they are not! When I held it by the very tip of the bottom, it was sticky with sap!
Guess what? To me, those two things look like teeny tiny bombs, but on a plant! They might look like they are bumpy, because they actually ARE bumpy! Second to last!
Did you know that this is a leaf that is almost but getting ready to be it: A LEAF SKELETON! And also, see those patches, those are just plain leaf. You might see the teeny tiny lines, and that's the skeleton part. You might know what a regular leaf looks like. Did you know that the stem of leaves actually go INTO their skeleton.

Also, we saw a falcon.  Guess what?  The falcon seemed like he fanned out his tail feather in the picture (accidentally deleted from the camera) but the tail feather when it swept up was actually striped.  Guess what?  Know what?  The falcons beak was short but really, really cool.

hummingbird season

Hummingbird season is starting. The wings are the coolest, and the tail, because they all move. Remember, everything is Legos. The claws don't hurt, but they look very strong. They are actually very small. The beak is very small, and might look like it has a little hole in it for sucking nectar out of flowers. See the bright eyes?

Scorpion

This scorpion has a lot of cool things. It is so so so so cool. It's legs can move, it has jaws but everything is Legos! It has antenna: two Legos. It's eyes: amazing. Long bending stinging tail, also Legos.

I made it for everyone I love, even myself.

About the blog, I actually love this, but it is hard making it!
